Thanks for your tips. There seem to be SO many beautiful Train Rides to Take. But I Think we're Leaning towards the Car for Slovenia . Hopefully we'll still be Able to Enjoy the Scenery.

Everything I read about in Slovenia sounds so breathtakingly beautiful. Makes me want to see them all, but I will only have about 3 or maybe 4 days.

I've Read that the Skocjan Caves are Not as crowded with visitors as Postojna . Is that your experience?

Would you Advise staying in Ljubjana to Visit the Caves. And then staying Somewhere like Kobarid to Explore the Soca Valley?

Would appreciate any advice.

And the Euro remains expensive, travelling in Italy will be a real challenge for budget-minded travellers.
Not sure how long you're going to be over there, and how set you are on staying in Italy... but one budget-minded option would be to train due East to Slovenia, and possibly even south from there into Croatia. However, my apologies if this advice doesn't work with your plans.

    • Kerala (India) is amazingly green and has great beaches - abt 4.5 hour flight.

Turkey has areas that are green, hilly - cold in winter anyway - 4 hour flight.

Both of these two destinations can be done pretty cheaply.
