Indeed, in developing the script for a tour of Europe, few people would include Slovenia as a waypoint. Member of the former Yugoslavia, the country, which currently belongs to the European Union, is not a place where you will find many tourists, especially Brazilians. As I have a very dear friend Slovene, decided to visit her and meet this other country in Eastern Europe. Getting to Slovenia is not as simple and cheap as elsewhere in Europe. The flights "low cost" are not very common and normal flights to Ljubljana, the capital of the country usually are expensive. The best option then is to go by train or car, if you can rent one to reach the European continent. I went by train as it was in Germany and the journey was relatively short (12 hours). Trains in Germany are very good, although I have lost a connection and wait eight hours in the city of Augsburg, in southern Germany. However, as I was in a place where consumer rights are actually respected, complained and got half my money back. It was good because I knew a bit of Augsburg and watched the game Cup Germany v Argentina to the winners. Now trains in Slovenia are not so good and just sitting in a booth next to a Slovenian somewhat disgusting and that was with a worse cough impossible (but do not worry I'm alive) :). Upon arriving to Ljubljana, my friend and her boyfriend were waiting for me and we would know a bit of capital, because she lives in a village, which is one hour from the city. I can not talk much about Ljubljana since met very quickly and it was super early (six in the morning). No doubt, I have known more, however, is for a next.

Slovenia, where the currency is the euro, is quite small (20, 251 km ²) and its inhabitants (only about 2 million) live in small towns across the country. It's one of those places that you better be with a native, as it will take you to the best places. Being car is also great because you certainly need to constantly get around. It is essential for those who are traveling the country, making a stop in Trojane, to eat delicious, traditional donuts in town. The best I've ever eaten in my entire life (have stuffed with coconut, vanilla and chocolate, raspberry and apricot). My friend, Anja, lives in a small village called Sentjur. It is interesting the way of life of Slovenians. The quality of life is awesome! You do not see pollution and is at all times surrounded by nature. Anja lives with his parents in a beautiful house, in which they grow almost everything they eat: arugula, lettuce, tomato, strawberry, plum, blueberry, potatoes and all the vegetables you can imagine. I ate very well and all very healthy. In Slovenia, it is very common for people to attend clubs with huge pools (type the spa Mossley) and, of course, had to meet one.

And the Euro remains expensive, travelling in Italy will be a real challenge for budget-minded travellers.
Not sure how long you're going to be over there, and how set you are on staying in Italy... but one budget-minded option would be to train due East to Slovenia, and possibly even south from there into Croatia. However, my apologies if this advice doesn't work with your plans.
