Visit Slovenia with an app
In a press conference last TTG Rimini, the most important exhibition on tourism in Italy, the tourist board of Slovenia presented the new app "Guidebook Slovenia.""Slovenia Guidebook" will be downloadable from devices with the following operating systems: Apple,Android and Windowsmobile.
By downloading the application, the user can select his favorite places, plan their trip based on information contained in the application and create travel journals.
The app will be connected to the web portal, so as to always be constantly updated with news, articles, new points of interest and promotional areas.Interesting that even off line the app will keep all information up to date at the last link.
From the home of the app you can access content browsable like a magazine. The news will be updated directly by the tourist, consortia, associations and commercial entities in the area.In this way the user can know all the news directly to your mobile device.
By downloading the app you will find:
- latest news
- itineraries with georeferenced photographs
- general information
- research and services you reserve
- interactive guided tours
- Navigation between the locations indicated.
All this adds the ability to create your own profile, to go to enter your own travel diary by fitting it with a lot of information on personal experience in Slovenia. On your profile you will find buttons to share on Twitter and Facebook, create a circle of friends, participate in the forum. In addition, the profile will also have access to the portal on the internet.
The app uses the GPS locating the user's location and giving you the opportunity to search for the nearest activity. The activities are divided into categories (Accommodations,Food and Drink,Government Offices). After the search the user will have a map of all POIs in the vicinity.
The same goes for places, monuments and attractions, for which they are given all the information on the site that you are visiting collected in a card.
See you in January 2013 to try it and see how it works!

European adventure
2004-04-13 11:55:21 by DCPhotoIf you have a Eurorail pass, you should just buy your ticket in and out of whatever city is going to get you the cheapest rate. London can actually be good just because there are always cheap fares to London and you can get super cheap flights to and from most cities in Europe on Easyjet, Ryanair or BMI (literally 10 to 40 pounds). I definitely agree with one of the above posters about not tryin...lovenia. It's a beautiful city with friendly people and a cafe lined river that runs through the city with a hilltop castle that overlooks it all. And it's easy to get to from Northern Italy, Austria and Budapest.
I'd be happy to help you with any other questions you may have as I did this same thing myself for months many years ago and it was the most life changing experience in my life!

I would love it if its cold, hilly, green, beach etc., I dont wnat any crowded city area or deserts.. I cant afford a lot of money too. May be i can spend around 4000 dhirams inclusive of flight tickets.. Pls let me know if you know any such place.
Kerala (India) is amazingly green and has great beaches - abt 4.5 hour flight.
Turkey has areas that are green, hilly - cold in winter anyway - 4 hour flight.
Both of these two destinations can be done pretty cheaply.
