For travelers who are interested in making a similar trip gather in this post the highlights of the trip. In future articles we will discuss in depth some of the most interesting places you can visit in these countries. For now I leave a brief summary ...

: Description of the route:
Under these lines find a map with all stages we did. The points are where we spent the night. By clicking on each of them you can see the places we visited in each stage and a few comments.
As you can see, we start from Barcelona and before arriving to Croatia made three stops: in Nîmes (highly recommended), Menton (just sleeping) and Sirmione (on the Lago di Garda), where we slept two nights. In the next stage we got to Croatia and during the days that followed went down to Dubrovnik. From there we move into Bosnia and Herzegovina and Sarajevo via Mostar to exit the north back to Croatia. After a visit to Zagreb in Slovenia where we spent the last few days. We returned in two stages. A very brief and over 1, 200 km
. We estimated € 3, 000 budget and finally spent about 2500 €. The savings came mainly given by the housing (most nights slept in campsites) and food (half of the time "we cooked" in the campsite). I copied a summary table of costs:
We slept in 3 hotels, one hostel, 6 Sobes and 11 campsites. In Croatia it is very easy to find both Sobes as campsites and we had too many problems with lack of space or rooms despite being high season and having not booked anywhere. The Sobes price around 30 € in the 3 countries (2 people without breakfast, generally shared bathroom with guests inches). Campsites cost us from 17 € (2 persons, 1 and 1 tent tourism small) to 28 € the most expensive. Hotels just caught in France and one in Bosnia for which allowances at a tricky in tourism (Doboj).
It was not exactly a journey of gastronomic tourism. We ate a lot of what we bought to heat in campsites and choose cheap options when we were visiting places. Do not miss the cevapi in Bosnia and, if you dare, oysters in Croatia (we did not). There are very good steak and Italian food is abundant in Slovenia and northern Croatia. Prices are usually cheaper than in Spain, but not much more. In Bosnia, especially in sparsely tourist, yes it is extremely cheap to eat.
